Tanzer 22 Class Association
The Tanzer 22 Class Association was formed in 1970 to establish and promote the Tanzer 22 sloop, both the fin keel and keel/centerboard model, as a one-design class; to promote family cruising and class racing under uniform rules; to prevent design changes intended to out-class boats now constituting the Tanzer 22 Class; to promote inter-regional activities and to support the work of regional fleets and governing bodies.
With the demise of Tanzer Industries, the roll of our Association has evolved to providing help and assistance to Tanzer owners with technical matters, hard to find parts, and tuning, maintenance
Members of the Association receive our award winning bi-monthly Newsletter Tanzer Talk covers many, many subjects that relate equally to the 22 as well as the other Tanzer models.
Membership in the Association is open to all. Besides the T22, we have a growing number of Tanzer 7.5 and Tanzer 26 members and we would welcome all Tanzer owners as Associate members. Our membership classifications are:
FULL MEMBER, an owner of a registered Tanzer 22 sloop
ASSOCIATE MEMBER, any person who regularly serves as crew on a specific Tanzer 22 sloop, as well as an
owner of any other Tanzer sailboat.
SUBSCRIBING MEMBER, a non-boat owner who will receive all mailings, but has no other membership rights.
SUSTAINING MEMBER, Tanzer dealers and members of the trade, who will receive all Newsletters, but have no other membership rights.
The Association is governed by a Constitution and elected officers. The officers for 2004 are:

Fleets are established by the Executive whenever application for a Fleet Charter is made by five or more Tanzer 22 sloops, in an area or location in which an organized and chartered Tanzer 22 Fleet does not already exist. Regional Vice-Presidents shall be appointed by the Executive as becomes necessary to represent specific regions and/or chartered Fleets.
